Ghost in the Shell est un film américain réalisé par Rupert Sanders et avec Scarlett Johansson au casting principal. La sortie du film est prévue en mars 2017. Il s’agit d’une adaptation du manga Ghost in the Shell de Masamune Shirow, publié à la fin des années 1980. Depuis quelques semaine la firme Lotus Cars présente des images de la ‘hero-car Ghost in the Shell’ Lotus Esprit type 82. Et également, Lotus a créé/présenté In Real Life une version ‘Ghost in the Shell’, en livrée noire, de la récente Lotus Evora.

Lotus Evora
The Lotus Evora is a sports car produced by British car manufacturer Lotus. The car, which was developed under the project name Project Eagle, was launched as the Evora on 22 July 2008 at the British International Motor Show. The Evora S was launched in 2010 with a supercharged equipped 3.5-litre V6. A facelifted and more powerful Evora 400 model was unveiled at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show.
Design & Moteur Lotus Evora
La Lotus Evora est propulsée par un moteur à six cylindres en V d’une cylindrée de 3,5 litres, installé en position centrale arrière.
Conçu par Toyota, ce dernier est équipé de doubles arbres à cames en tête à calage variable Dual VVT-i, à l’admission comme à l’échappement. Il développe 280 ch à 6 400 tr/min et 342 Nm de couple à 4 700 tr/min. La boîte mécanique à six rapports est à commande manuelle.
L’Evora pèse 1 350 kg, ce qui reste relativement léger pour une sportive à quatre places, comme à l’habitude chez Lotus.
Le châssis de l’Evora est conçu en aluminium ultra-léger, suivant une technologie innovante qui assure des « performances viscérales ». Le design de l’Evora est composé de lignes fluides sophistiquées et aérodynamiques, qui lui permettent d’avoir un coefficient de traînée de 0,33. Et bien que l’Evora ait l’air d’une petite voiture de sport très compacte à l’extérieur, son intérieur est étonnamment spacieux.
Lors du Mondial de l’automobile de Paris 2010, Lotus dévoile l’Evora S, dont le V6 suralimenté développe 350 ch à 7 000 tr/min et 400 Nm de couple à 4 500 tr/min.
Au Salon international de l’automobile de Genève 2016, Lotus dévoile une version sportive de l’Evora baptisée Evora 410, baptisée en référence à son nouveau moteur de 410 ch. elle devient la première Lotus a franchir les 300 km/h.
Lotus Esprit
The Lotus Esprit is a sports car that was built by Lotus in the United Kingdom between 1976 and 2004. The silver Italdesign concept that eventually became the Esprit was unveiled at the Turin Motor Show in 1972 as a concept car, and was a development of a stretched Lotus Europa chassis. It was among the first of designer Giorgetto Giugiaro’s polygonal ‘folded paper’ designs. Originally, the name Kiwi was proposed, but in keeping with the Lotus tradition of having all car model names start with the letter ‘E’, the name became Esprit.
The Esprit was launched in October 1975 at the Paris Auto Show, and went into production in June 1976, replacing the Europa in the Lotus model lineup. These first cars eventually became known as S1 (or Series 1) Esprits. With a steel backbone chassis and a fiberglass body, the Esprit was powered by the Lotus 907 4-cylinder engine
A series of improvements made to the Esprit during its initial run culminated in the S2 (or Series 2) Esprit, which was introduced in 1978.
Design & Moteur Lotus Cars Esprit
La Lotus Esprit, produit de 1976 à 2004, est une des automobile sportive les plus longtemps fabriquées de l’histoire de la construction automobile de série.
Toutes les Esprit étaient assemblées à la main et cela représentait environ 560 heures de travail. Plus de 80 % des pièces étaient produites par Lotus.
La première version portera ultérieurement la désignation ‘S1’. Voiture de sport deux places, un châssis-poutre en acier, et une carrosserie en polyester stratifié est équipé d’un bloc 2 litres 16 soupapes de 160 ch type 907, moteur à l’arrière.
Au cinéma, dans le James Bond « L’Espion qui m’aimait », Roger Moore pilote une Lotus Esprit S1. Dotée de nombreux gadgets propres à la série, elle donnera lieu à une scène mythique sous l’eau en transformant l’Esprit en véhicule amphibie
La Lotus Esprit Turbo HCi (High Compression petrol injection), type 82, est présentée au salon de l’automobile de Genève en mars 1986. L’Esprit Turbo HC (pour High Compression ou Haut taux de compression) est l’équivalent de la Lotus Esprit Turbo HCi pour le marché européen. Elle est présentée au salon de l’automobile de Londres en octobre 1986.
La carrosserie de l’Esprit Turbo progresse au plan aérodynamique : le spoiler avant est plus grand, les jupes latérales et le bouclier arrière ont été redessinés et un petit aileron de toit fait son apparition au-dessus du hayon.
In April 1986, the final incarnations of the Giugiaro-styled Esprit were announced, with raised engine compression giving rise to the ‘HC’ name. This increased the output of the naturally aspirated engine to 172hp and (217 Nm for the Esprit HC, and to 215hp and 298 Nm for the Turbo Esprit HC, with the increased torque available at a lower rpm.
For markets with stringent emissions requirements (mainly the USA), Lotus introduced the HCi variant, teaming the higher compression engine with Bosch KE-Jetronic fuel injection and a catalytic converter- the first fuel-injected Esprits. This engine had the same peak power as the carburetted version, but at a somewhat higher engine speed, and torque dropped to 274 Nm.
Le style fut repris en 1988 par Peter Stevens (90s McLaren F1 road-car), arrondissant le style de Giugiaro dérivée d’un concept car d’Italdesign présenté à Turin en 1972.
Dans le film Ghost in the Shell (2017), c’est un modèle de Lotus Cars Esprit type 82 qui a été ré-carrossée et garde cet aspect année 80 neo-futuriste..
